From 1987 until 2020, Rear Admiral Becker worked for the U.S. Navy in various operational and leadership positions. From 2021 to 2022, he was President of Terran Orbital. From 2020 to present, he was President of Silvergate Consulting, LLC. From 2023 to present, he was a Senior Partner of Elara Nova. From 2023 to present, he was President of OneLight Sensing. Rear Admiral Becker received a B.S., Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from Boston University, an M.S. from The George Washington University, and he completed the Executive Fellows program at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He was commissioned from the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program.​
